Technology and Systems Director

We are seeking a Director of Technology and Systems to establish and lead the technology vision, strategy, and execution that will enable sustainable growth, operational excellence, and innovation. The role will be responsible for building the company’s IT and digital capabilities from the ground up. This leader will design, implement, and build capability to sustain the systems, infrastructure, and processes that will allow the company to scale efficiently, improve data visibility, strengthen security, and support business growth. As an executive leader, the Director will partner across Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Sales to deliver technology solutions that drive business value.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technology Strategy & Roadmap
Develop and execute a multi-year IT strategy aligned with company growth goals.
Evaluate current systems, identify gaps, and prioritize modernization initiatives.
Build the digital foundation (ERP, CRM, data & analytics, eCommerce, etc.) to support scalability.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and service mindset.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee IT budgets.
Partner with functional departments (Marketing, Finance etc) to create specific technology strategies that plan for growth and scalability.
Systems Implementation & Integration
Lead the selection and implementation of core business system technologies, potentially including an ERP
Integrate systems across functions to ensure end-to-end data visibility and process efficiency.
Streamline reporting, analytics, and decision-making tools.
Infrastructure & Security
Maintain reliable IT infrastructure, network, and cloud solutions leveraging a 3rd party provider
Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, data governance, and compliance practices.
Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of experience in IT leadership, ideally as a CIO, VP of IT, or IT Director in a growth-stage or mid-sized company (CPG experience preferred).
Track record of implementing and scaling business systems.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise data management.
Demonstrated ability to build IT capabilities from low maturity to scalable, efficient operations.
Hands-on, pragmatic leader who can balance strategy with execution.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and vendor management skills.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Duke Cannon offers a competitive market salary and bonus based on role and professional experience. The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. Our benefits are top-notch and include health & dental insurance, HSA and 401k programs supported by regular company contributions, a tuition reimbursement program, and monthly parking stipend. We also host monthly moments of Team camaraderie ranging from community service events to social hours in the Main Lodge (aka the office) to Lunch & Learns covering business, team, and industry topics.
