Tax Senior Manager or Director - Trust & Estate (T&E) within the National Tax practice. Location: Miami, Florida. This is a remote position; some occasions may require presence at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

Your Team
This role sits within the National Tax Team and focuses on Trust & Estate work, with potential involvement in 1040/1041 work. You will partner with other tax experts and have opportunities for rapid development.

Your Role
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review complex gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns
Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates
Provide tax planning and consulting to high-net-worth clients for estate and individual income taxes
Read and summarize estate planning documents; provide guidance on federal and state income and death tax treatment
Research and consult on various estate, gift, and trust issues (trustee/beneficiary issues, estate administration tax impact, generation-skipping tax)
Develop opportunities within existing clients and pursue new clients
Prepare and present technical training to specialty group and core tax department
Maintain responsibility for managing all aspects of client relationships
Manage a team of professionals to complete engagements from start to finish
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Tax is a plus
CPA or JD required
Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates and high-net-worth clients
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in public accounting
Strong tax research skills
Ability to lead, manage, and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
