DOMA Architecture is looking for a process and detail-oriented Architect with 7-10+ years’ experience to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for leading the Bluffton, SC studio. This position will be primarily in-person with limited remote work available for discussion. EXPECTATIONS: A professional degree in Architecture Registered Architect in the state of South Carolina preferred (NCARB certificate also acceptable) Problem solving skills, highly organized with attention to detail and ability to collaborate and mentor others in a deadline-driven environment Highly skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop/Illustrator, Microsoft and 3D Visualization (i.e. Lumion, Twinmotion, Enscape) Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong familiarity and experience with residential/commercial building codes/regulations, specifications, building and engineering systems, building products, construction detailing and quality standards Collaborative and professional work ethic Effective time management and leadership skills ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead by example and be a good steward of the company’s core values Responsible for meeting with realtors/sales agents to foster relationships and promote business development Conduct virtual and in-person meetings with prospective and current clients Ability to understand and adhere to DOMA’s custom design process and drawing/design standards Advanced understanding and familiarity with residential site design, building design and construction in coastal regions Develop creative/innovative design ideas and concepts that can be developed into a buildable set of construction documents Responsible for construction document creation from initial design ideas and coordination of all relevant consultants/drawing disciplines. Coordinate and execute applicable reviews from authorities having jurisdiction and/or architectural review committees Ability to perform and execute limited construction administration duties through site visits and direct engagement with consultants and projects managers in the field.
