Job Responsibilities

Implementing best practice nursing care in post-acute residents in nearby areas

Monitoring the conditions of residents and providing updates to the nursing team

Measuring and documenting the basic vital signs of residents

Helping residents with grooming, feeding, toileting, and other basic activities of daily living (ADLs)

Promoting a clean and safe environment by ensuring best practices in hygiene and by clearing areas of hazards

Transporting residents around the facility and assisting them with other movements, as needed during the day

Interacting with residents on a daily basis to keep them engaged, provide comfort, and build trusting relationships

Being accountable to follow and adhere to care plans for residents and all applicable rules, regulations, and policies

Bridging communications between, and among, staff and residents (and their family members)

Qualifications and Skills

Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification

Understanding of general nursing care procedures and terminology

Ability to communicate with medical professionals as well as patients/residents and their family members

High level of attention to detail

Lifting requirement of at least 50 lbs
