As Senior Director of Systems and Software, you will lead the research, development, design, and optimization of McKesson’s core commercial software platforms—Sanitas and Base. This includes overseeing technology and systems functions that support critical business processes and enterprise information systems. You’ll be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and enhancing systems and applications, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring robust database performance. In this role, you’ll guide efforts to safeguard McKesson’s data, tools, and technology assets, while ensuring infrastructure standards promote efficiency and platform compatibility. You’ll apply deep subject matter expertise to align system capabilities with user needs, ensure seamless IT service delivery, and lead a high-performing team through talent development and operational excellence. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred) 13+ years of professional experience in software engineering or IT, and 6+ years in senior leadership roles with proven success in managing large-scale projects and teams Skills & Competencies Deep understanding of software development, systems architecture, and enterprise platforms Strong leadership and team-building capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strategic planning and analytical thinking Experience with operational policy development and performance metrics Familiarity with data security and compliance standards We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
