The Senior Director, Global Marketing Communications will lead the development of strategic and innovative plans that will take Global Benefit Cosmetics to the next level on its social media presence, digital influencer relationships & initiatives, and PR. This role will play a critical role in shaping the future of Benefit Cosmetics in terms of shaping global strategies and driving adoption across multiple regions.
What You'll Do:
Develop global long term strategic plans to grow brand desirability while bringing to life Benefit's unique brand DNA across Social Media, PR, and Influencer programs.
Manage the Global PR & Influencer Team in developing global-to-local strategies spanning PR, Brand Events, Influencer/Spokesforce (Internal & External) Programs, and Brand Partnerships.
Manage the Global Omni Digital Team in developing global strategies across Owned, Earned, & Paid mechanisms in our key Social Media Platforms.
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and local market teams to synergize global to local strategies & tactics across Social Media, PR, Influencer Campaigns, and Eventing.
Lead the Global Benefit Crisis Management Team.
People Management: Directly & Indirectly a manage team of 10-15 people
Have overall accountability for hiring, development, and engaging direct reports.
Act as a people developer, leading a feedback and performance culture, modeling two-way feedback, accountability, and recognition.
Provide ongoing transparent discussion regarding development, Rise objective review, and career aspirations.
Onboarding: Proactively guide team through induction, on-the-job training, and familiarization with the LVMH ecosystem, providing all necessary contacts and resources, and encouraging attendance to relevant events.
Keep direct report up to date with important functional, company, and LVMH news.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 10-12 years of progressive marketing or brand marketing experience. Equivalent experience may be accepted.
4+ Year people leadership experience
Proven track record of designing and executing global social campaigns, global influencer marketing campaigns, leading PR/Eventing, and leading Brand Crisis Management
Proven experience in working in/with various regions on developing global strategies and driving adoption across multiple regions
Deep understanding how to leverage influencers, partnerships, social media, and PR in breaking into Pop Culture and Social Media conversations
Strong strategic vision and creative skills balanced by a highly analytical, hands-on, and detail-oriented approach
Strong leadership / cross-functional relationship-building skills
Excellent project management and project planning skills
Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions and present recommendations with clarity and conviction
Detail-oriented while understanding the "big picture"
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills both verbal and written
A sense of urgency, high energy, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
Passion for fashion and beauty
Passion and knowledge of digital trends and best practices - savvy about all social media channels and the competitive landscape in digital
Experience with platform analytics tools
Schedule: Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly to a Benefit Office
The target salary range for this position in California is $195,000 - $225,000 annually. The actual salary offered is based on market location and will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
