The Sr. Director, App Services Sales - Manufacturing, Retail, Logisitics, Travel or Hospitality will drive the growth of Custom Application offerings and provide subject matter expertise to our clients. This critical role involves identifying and researching potential clients, engaging with prospects, describing our services, and closing sales. An Application Services Specialty Seller leverages industry knowledge and expertise to understand customer needs and apply consultative selling techniques to define solutions and proposals. Our approach is highly collaborative, requiring our Sr. Director, App Services Sales - CPG, Retail, Logisitics, Travel, or Hospitality to coordinate and execute across client and internal teams, building strong relationships along the way. In this role, you will be responsible for: Providing digital sales technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex digital products, applications, and solutions. Sales strategy, solution development, and digital transformation initiatives. Leveraging industry knowledge to build relationships, understand customer needs, and provide tailored solutions that drive revenue and customer success. Engaging with prospects and existing clients through consultative selling to uncover pain points and business needs, guiding them to optimal solutions. Collaborating with the solution team and practice experts to develop customized solutions addressing client challenges. Defining client value and relevance of solutions using industry KPIs. Maintaining industry trend knowledge to provide strategic guidance to clients. Building and maintaining lasting client and partner relationships by understanding and anticipating their needs. Assessing potential applications of company digital products to meet client needs and preparing detailed digital product specifications. Supporting sales efforts through consultative activities. Basic Qualifications: 8+ years in consulting or IT services sales. 8+ years negotiating and closing large deals in professional services. 5+ years focused on sales in Manufacturing, Retail, Logisitics, Travel, or Hospitality industries. At least 5 years selling Application Modernization, Custom Application Development, Cloud Migration, or Legacy Modernization services. Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (minimum 12 years). Proven success leading large, strategic sales opportunities. Ability to engage with senior leadership at Fortune 500 companies. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, teamwork, and analytical skills. Extensive business experience in deal shaping and origination. Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership both at clients and within NTT DATA.
