Mission Texas Muslim Womens Foundation empowers, promotes, and supports all women and their families a mission that ultimately creates stronger communities. Position Summary Directs social services programs at the Texas Muslim Womens Foundation, including oversight of confidential shelters and community-based domestic violence programming. Provides leadership, supervision, and training to staff and volunteers involved in domestic violence services. Oversees planning, implementation, and evaluation of domestic violence programs. Works to expand and strengthen the community image and develops staff and volunteers in alignment with the Foundation's vision, mission, and goals. Responsible for the sustainability, growth, and overall supervision of the Social Services program. Duties and Responsibilities Core functions essential for the existence of the job, requiring competent performance for employment continuation. Management and Supervision Provides direct supervision to staff, including recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and termination, in coordination with executive management. Assists with succession planning. Ensures proper staffing and directs daily activities of staff. Develops and implements processes, procedures, and best practices for consistent performance expectations. Manages the operation of a 24-hour hotline and staffing. Follows organizational policies and applicable laws in supervisory responsibilities. Supports and trains staff, including orientation, service procedures, record management, crisis intervention, and problem resolution. Coordinates professional development and training opportunities. Program Planning and Implementation Collaborates with management, funding sources, and partners to develop and coordinate domestic violence services, seeking continual improvement. Leads program staff in developing long and short-term objectives based on client needs, programming, and advocacy. Ensures services meet individual needs while addressing safety and emergency procedures, including crisis intervention protocols. Develops annual departmental goals aligned with strategic objectives and client feedback. Oversees program records, including client data and statistical reports, ensuring compliance with audit standards. Community Outreach Works as part of the management team to fulfill the organizations mission. Builds and maintains positive relationships with community agencies, government bodies, law enforcement, and service providers. Acts as a community liaison, leading coordinated responses to domestic violence. Financial Management Participates in budgeting and fiscal monitoring alongside senior management. Supports grant development and maintains contact with funding sources. Manages the fiscal performance and budget of the Domestic Violence Services program. Administration Facilitates staff meetings and oversees administrative functions to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Develops systems for responsibilities related to the position. Other Duties Performs additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications Five years experience in a human service setting. Two years supervisory experience with staff. Two years experience in domestic violence field. Bachelors degree in social work or related field preferred. Valid TX drivers license and auto insurance. Proficiency in another relevant language is a plus. Knowledge of HR laws related to employment. Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, and database reporting. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to move within an office environment. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use. Sitting for extended periods.
