About the Role
In this role, you will lead creative development for marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns in partnership with copy, design, and strategy. You will collaborate cross-functionally to concept social media posts, shoot photography and videos and edit and design each concept. What You’ll Do Conceptualize and create engaging and original content for all social platforms that aligns with Kohl’s voice and objectives
Stay ahead of TikTok trends, challenges and cultural moments to implement relevant and timely content into the social strategy
Collaborate closely with Designers, Copywriters and Strategy partners to understand campaign goals and messaging, translating them visually
Attend photo shoots at Kohl’s Photo Studio and guide the team to achieve a consistent point of view and art direction
Communicate clearly and collaboratively with stylists, photographers, sample specialists and producers
Develop brand as it applies to Photography and Design for Kohl’s
Understand and follow design, composition and photography best practices and guidelines
Travel as needed to capture social content at events and photoshoots
Additional tasks may be assigned
What Skills You Have Required Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field
2+ years of experience in Art Direction with an emphasis on social media
Proficiency in Photoshop, Google Slides, and Capture One
Experience working in fashion or beauty
Photo art direction experience and a strong understanding of photography and retouching
Ability to capture still and motion content on iPhone camera and edit accordingly
Strategic and conceptual thinker with the ability to ideate and execute creative for multiple channels
Experience multitasking and working on various levels of creative and multiple brands
Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking skills required
Strong understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube)
Strong conceptual, design, type and page layout skills for projects ranging from social media to photo deck presentations
Preferred Basic understanding of motion design (Adobe After Effects), Illustrator and InDesign
Knowledge of retouching processes
Experience with managing creative projects from concept to production
Experience with retail workflow, processes and structure
Special Requirements Occasional travel up to 10%
