Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned and strategic Senior Tax Director to take charge of the tax responsibilities within our client's dynamic and expanding organization. In this prominent role, you will oversee all aspects of business taxation, including intricate Up-C structures and ASC tax provisions. Your role will involve crafting tax strategies, ensuring compliance across various tax categories, managing audits, and working closely with leadership to support essential business initiatives. Primary Duties
Lead and strategically oversee all facets of Up-C partnership taxation and tax accounting in collaboration with external partners.
Assess the division of external tax support and internal capability development.
Supervise the creation and review of the income tax provision as per ASC , along with SEC disclosures.
Maintain thorough documentation and records for all tax-related filings and operations.
Act as the key point of contact for intricate audits and inquiries from federal, state, and local tax authorities.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, providing proactive advice to leadership.
Develop procedures for monitoring and mitigating tax compliance risks across the company.
Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure accurate tax treatment of business transactions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent certification mandatory .
At least 5 years of tax management experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a prerequisite.
Expertise in partnership taxation, Up-C structures, and ASC provisions.
Proven track record of leading tax strategy, compliance, and audits in a complex organization.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
