Senior Sales Director - Solar Modules

Our client is a North American leader in manufacturing high-quality solar modules with a 2 GW US factory.
We are assisting them to find an experienced Senior Sales Director who will lead national sales, crafting and executing growth strategies across all major solar segments including residential, commercial, and utility-scale. This high-impact leadership role is ideal for a forward-thinking executive with a strong background in B2B solar sales, a robust industry network, and a passion for scaling revenue in a fast-moving environment. Youll drive strategy, mentor a high-performance team, and build key relationships while collaborating closely with executive leadership.
What Youll Do:
Develop and execute multi-segment sales strategies to expand market share and drive revenue
Monitor market dynamics and adjust go-to-market strategies accordingly
Build and lead a results-oriented sales team with clear KPIs and performance standards
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Coach team members and oversee talent development and succession planning
Deepen relationships with key commercial and utility customers and partners
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and executive-level meetings
Manage high-stakes accounts and strategic partnerships with a solution-oriented approach
Align sales strategies with company-wide objectives in marketing, operations, and finance
Provide feedback from the field to guide product and service innovation
Lead support for major proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Set and track KPIs across sales functions, reporting results to executive leadership
Ensure compliance with internal pricing policies and regional regulatory standards
Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and budget adherence
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors degree in Business, Management, or related field (Masters preferred)
10+ years in solar or renewable energy sales leadership, with a proven record of team and revenue growth
Strong module sales background and knowledge of the utility scale market
In-depth understanding of the U.S. PV market and its regulatory and competitive landscape
Advanced CRM proficiency and experience with sales enablement tools
A strong industry network with demonstrated success in opening new markets
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Excellent communication, judgment, and strategic thinking skills
Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000
