General Description:
The Senior Regional Director (SRD) (US) - Field Medical Directors (FMD) - Solid Tumor, Breast Cancer North America Medical Affairs will support the National Director of the Field Medical Team, by overseeing the day-to-day duties of the field medical team, and supporting national efforts as directed by the National Director. The Senior Regional Director will help oversee the field medical team’s support of BeiGene marketed compounds as well as Pre-Clinical and Clinical pipeline development by coordinating external collaborations, research endeavors with heath care providers and external academicians while ensuring internal partnership across the organization. The Senior Regional Director will be expected to partner with, communicate with, and & co-direct with other SRD(s) in the FMD team, as well as other FMD / RMSL teams, to coordinate uniform efforts and maintain consistency throughout the national team. The SRD will also be expected to lead special projects, which may involve all or several members of the national FMD team, including those who may not be direct reports.
As a leader in the organization, the incumbent will be accountable to assist in developing regional and national strategies to support enduring and compliant relationships with Opinion Leaders, Research Collaborators & Key Organizations in support of BeOne Breast Cancer portfolio. This position will require pre-launch and post-launch Medical Affairs support of the solid tumor, Breast Cancer portfolio. Specifically, the incumbent will work closely with internal colleagues, including, but not limited to, Medical Affairs, clinical development, program leadership, clinical operations, legal, compliance, new product planning, clinical business development intelligence, US Marketing, Global Marketing, US Sales, safety/pharmacovigilance, molecular diagnostics, new markets, and translational research. The incumbent will play a key role in the establishment of BeOne as a valued collaborator and best-in-class biopharmaceutical company while exemplifying BeOne Core Values
Essential Functions:
Oversee the daily 1st line manager activities of the Field Medical Team while providing executive-level support for MA leadership
Ensure the Field Medical Team establishes and maintains scientifically credible and compliant peer-to-peer scientific relationships with national & regional opinion leaders in addition to other healthcare providers
Oversees FMD’s facilitation of & monitors strategic partnerships with scientific/clinical experts and serve as an enterprise-level point of contact with organizations including but not limited to:
- Guideline development
- Cooperative groups
- Other (National Cancer institutions)
Provides impactful feedback/information to internal stakeholders on emerging clinical and scientific trends
Provide leadership direction, preparing field team’s contributions to successful launch and post launch activities including reporting these results in Quarterly Business Reviews
Assists or oversee the development and execution of regional medical meetings (e.g., advisory boards, consultant, and investigator meetings), as requested
Build strong relationships with internal experts and works cross functionally to achieve overall company goals.
Identify continuous process improvement opportunities.
Develop, track, execute and report on FMD goals and objectives including performance management and employee development
Prepare, along with HQ Medical Directors, Quarterly Focus Document, insight questions and medical affairs objectives aligned to US and Global strategies.
Measure and coach to successful execution of above
Support Medical Affairs budget planning and management.
Be accountable for compliant business practices.
Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:
PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred with 6 plus years of experience and success within another biotech/pharmaceutical company and management experience required
Advanced degree Nurses, NPs, PAs, or those with a Master’s degree with 8 plus years of experience in life sciences with commensurate pharmaceutical industry and clinical research experience are also welcome to apply
Other Experience:
Professional knowledge and skills working with solid tumor (Breast preferred) cancer is required
Demonstrated strategic leadership skills with interpersonal skills to foster achievement of goals and employee development.
Prior successful collaboration with home-office based functions is required
Working knowledge of applicable Federal and State Compliance guidelines and regulations is expected
Experience with the ensuring adherence to SOPs and policies is expected
Understanding of Market Access and US Market dynamics is preferred

Salary Range: $254,600.00 - $324,600.00 annually BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
