Job Summary
Responsible for serving as the primary liaison between administration and medical staff. Ensures the development and implementation of policies supporting medical staff services. Maintains knowledge of applicable laws and regulations affecting the medical and allied health staff.
Job Duties
Assist in recruitment, hiring, and training of staff.
Analyze data for medical cost savings and quality improvements.
Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance and respond to inquiries from regulators.
Lead physician teams in prior authorization, review, discharge planning, and care activities.
Supervise Medical Directors.
Develop medical policies and conduct peer reviews.
Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Medicine.
Board Certified or eligible in a primary care specialty.
Experience and Skills
10+ years relevant experience, including clinical practice and managed care, or 5+ years as a Molina Medical Director.
Experience in utilization/quality management, leadership, peer review, policy development, and provider contracting.
Current clinical knowledge and strong management and communication skills.
Knowledge of applicable regulations.
Licenses and Certifications
Current unrestricted State Medical License.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters in Business Administration, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration.
Board Certification in Pediatrics, Family Practice, Ob/Gyn, or Internal Medicine.
Physical Demands
