Overview Senior Manager, Strategic Finance at Whatnot. Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, blending community, shopping, and entertainment. This role is part of the BizOps and Strategic Finance team with opportunities to drive growth and impact across cross-functional partners. Base pay range $190,000.00/yr - $245,000.00/yr Role Strong Business Partnership. Collaborate with Sales, CatEx, Ops, EPD, and Marketing teams to analyze performance and optimize investments. Work with stakeholders to uncover high-impact opportunities through quantitative analysis, industry benchmarks, and competitive research. Drive financial insights and analytics to inform decision-making. Enhance operational rigor and performance management to drive growth and scalability. Responsibilities Serve as a role model for Whatnot’s Cultural Principles. Collaborate with Sales, CatEx, Ops, EPD, and Marketing teams to analyze performance and optimize investments. Work with stakeholders to uncover high-impact opportunities through quantitative analysis, industry benchmarks, and competitive research. Develop actionable recommendations through hands-on analytics, financial modeling, and strategic insights. Synthesize company-wide data into a clear, contextualized view that informs high-impact decisions. Contribute to business planning and go-to-market strategy by identifying key growth and efficiency drivers. Enhance operational rigor by defining KPIs, dashboards, and OKRs. Maintain and refine business models to support forecasting and accountability. Lead strategic and operational initiatives that drive business growth and scalability. As the next member of our BizOps and Strategic Finance family, you should have 5-8 years of overall professional experience with a mix of professional services and startup experience. Past experience in consulting, banking, or Strategic Finance. Experience working with Sales, Operations, Product, and Marketing teams is a plus. Strong strategic sense with the ability to balance data-driven insights and business instincts. Superb financial modeling skills and extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis; SQL experience is a plus. Comfort working quickly in an ambiguous work environment. Ability to operate independently and dive deep on projects while building cross-functional relationships. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally; proactive in communicating with diverse audiences and driving change in a fluid environment. Excellent executive communication skills; able to explain insights to various audiences. Nice to Have Experience on a marketplace or two-sided platform. Passion for creator communities, Whatnot product categories, and/or new verticals suited for live e-commerce. Experience buying and selling in online marketplace communities.
