About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Leadership Giving Director and play a crucial role at a key moment in our organization's history. You will be vital in driving our ambitious $1 billion Campaign for National Parks, which aligns with the nation's upcoming 250th anniversary celebrations. This position is not merely about managing a donor portfolio; it's about shaping the future of leadership philanthropy while inspiring engagement with national parks.
Your responsibilities will include building and nurturing ultra-high-net-worth donor relationships, closing significant leadership gifts, and expanding our base of leadership giving donors. Collaborating closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with philanthropists nationwide, employing a proactive, collaborative, and intentional approach to donor strategy and cultivation.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully closing seven and eight-figure gifts, along with at least ten years of experience in portfolio management and principal gift solicitation. You should have a comprehensive understanding of the motivations driving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth philanthropy, as well as experience with various philanthropic structures.
This role requires strong skills in prioritization and attention to detail while thriving under pressure. Excellent communication and organizational skills are crucial, and the ability to travel for donor meetings is required. A Bachelor's degree is essential, with advanced education preferred. Knowledge of the National Park Service or similar cultural and natural heritage organizations is an asset.
