This crucial role involves leading the scientific strategy and overseeing the planning and execution of clinical drug development in the rare disease therapeutic area. As the principal representative for global development in this field, you will engage with executive leadership, development partners, and global regulatory agencies. The responsibilities of this role encompass the entire spectrum of clinical drug development activities, including the design and execution of Phase 2 to Phase 4 studies. You will provide global development leadership for one or more assets and will require strong people management skills to effectively lead your team. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional product teams to advance clinical programs and contribute to comprehensive product strategies. We are seeking candidates with an MD or DO from an accredited medical school, a minimum of 5 years in industry or academic research, and at least 6 years of managerial experience. A PhD, MBBS, or equivalent, along with relevant fellowship training and board certification are highly desirable. Ideal candidates will possess a robust understanding of biostatistics, clinical pharmacology, regulatory considerations, and pre-clinical toxicology principles. Familiarity with Good Clinical Practices, FDA regulations, and international regulatory requirements is essential.
