ABOUT THIS ROLE
Reporting to the SVP of Global Strategic Growth & Development, this Senior Business Development Professional will be a key driver of revenue growth for one of the fastest growing business units within InnovateMR + Ivy Exec. Depending upon your prior experience, you will be focused on generating new buyers of expert network services from management consulting/professional advisory firms or financial institutions (private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, investment banking).
The ideal candidate will have an intense hunger to win, innate curiosity, crisp communication, and proven experience selling expert network services. You will thrive in an environment that is performance-oriented & metrics driven; one that requires an entrepreneurial mindset that is catalyzed & supported by our private equity ownership group.
Your primary responsibility will be to identify and close new business opportunities by leveraging your industry knowledge & relationships from consulting and investment institutions that are big buyers of expert network services. You will collaborate closely with internal teams across business development, client development, and client delivery to deliver tailored market insight solutions to such clients. You will focus your efforts on going after new logos and new users for expert network services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
LAND : Generate new clients by directly engaging with and building relationships with key prospects at consulting firms and/or financial institutions, those who are serviced by the traditional expert networks. Your day to day will consist of revenue generating activities via phone, in-person meetings, LinkedIn and email. Articulate our premium brand and value proposition in a differentiated manner. Exhibit customer-centricity, content mastery and command of current trends in client end markets. Develop account plans for top named prospects and strategies for generating new clients. Monitor market trends to inform tailored strategies for growth. Create client maps to identify decision makers, current users, and potential new users. Secure MSAs where needed, and provide senior leadership guidance for vendor approval processes.
EXPAND : Proactively solicit and identify opportunities to expand the scope of our relationship with new offices within an account. You will be supported by a dedicated Client Development Team focused on sustained growth of existing clients generated from business development efforts. You will empower your Client Development team to grow revenue from existing clients and serve as a liaison to the Client Delivery / Operations Team. Your efforts will focus on building and maintaining trusted relationships with existing clients at the MSA / C‑Suite / Partner Level, while leveraging your industry knowledge to help Ivy Exec’s Client Development team expand the business relationship from within.
More broadly, you will work creatively and collaboratively across divisions tied to our Expert Network Expansion efforts, including Client Delivery (Operations) and Marketing, to accelerate the sales cycle and close new business with consulting clients. You will collaborate with InnovateMR+Ivy Exec’s centralized Business Development Leaders.

REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of relevant B2B sales or business development experience.
5+ years of experience in a business development role at an expert network, preferably selling to consulting clients and/or PE firms who are seeking insights for corporate strategy, strategic due diligence, and/or new market assessment.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing client accounts from the ground up
Deep understanding of the consulting and/or PE landscape and the role of insights in client workflows
Strong consultative selling skills and ability to position complex service offerings
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for identifying and acting on new opportunities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
