We are looking for a

Senior Director

focused on developing world-class traffic management capabilities for Affirm.

What You'll Do

Set the vision for traffic management, capacity planning, and load testing at Affirm.

Hire engineers with expertise in load shedding, rate limiting, caching, etc.

Lead annual peak season planning across the tech organization.

Partner with teams to understand needs and roll out capacity planning and load testing tools.

Participate in engineering roadmap planning.

This role requires a leader who can set a strong vision and also dive into the details to understand our systems and support our business.

What We Look For

Experience in traffic management, load testing, or capacity planning at a large-scale organization.

Experience designing traffic shaping, cluster management, load shedding systems.

Track record leading complex engineering projects.

Ability to develop, hire, and collaborate with principal engineers.

Strong leadership and mentorship skills.

Detail-oriented with strong opinions on technology and delivery.

Effective communicator with clear vision sharing skills.

Passionate about our mission and building a meritocracy.

Compensation & Benefits Base pay ranges from $305,000 to $375,000 depending on location, plus equity, benefits, and bonuses. Affirm is a remote-first company with flexible work options. Benefits include health coverage, stipends, time off, and stock purchase plans.
