Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as a liaison and advocate between patient clearance experience and other departments including vendor support as needed. Leads and oversees out-of-scope scheduling, patient clearance experience operations, including ambulatory and medical group scheduling as well as the Medicaid Eligibility program. Manages internal and external stakeholder relationships to communicate progress, risks, issues, and mitigation to leaders. Sets performance standards and goals for direct reports and the department; evaluates and counsels’ staff on their performance along with development opportunities for staff growth. Directs use of outside consultants including contract negotiations and third-party billing. Supports review of revenue cycle management patient clearance experience service quality, service levels and associated performance reporting to ensure progress and compliance with requirements to the agreement. Monitors effectiveness of revenue cycle management patient clearance policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations as well as the vendor’s compliance with these documents. Proposes modifications to documents, as appropriate. Identifies failure of vendor to meet select service levels. Forecasts key business metrics using analytical techniques and produces reports with meaningful impact, ensuring data quality and integrity. Supports leadership in strategic planning, innovation, goal setting and other areas that may arise within the department relating to patient financial experience, scheduling, Medical Coverage Database eligibility, other patient facing strategy, etc. Maintains knowledge of latest best practices and industry insights related to patient experience for purposes of continued strategic planning and innovation. Maintains an ongoing awareness of regulatory and policy requirements. Maintains flexibility and alignment with the vendor to accommodate changing organizational and industry changing requirements. Recruits, engages, develops, leads, and manages assigned staff. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree EXPERIENCE Seven years' experience, with five years' in leadership PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
