We are looking for a highly organized Senior Director of Software Engineering to guide and manage software engineers with a focus on team continuity and professional growth. The role partners with engineering leaders to ensure software development and content management projects are successful.

The Main Course – Responsibilities

Coach, mentor and grow a team of engineers and engineering leads as they design and develop new products and features.

Develop a cohesive engineering strategy aligned with company objectives and market needs.

Provide continuous performance feedback on objectives, productivity and learning.

Inspire the team and foster a culture of excellence, teamwork and a positive attitude.

Collaborate with CTO, project managers, architects and technical leads to ensure execution with excellence.

Establish collaborative and teamwork best practices and behaviors across the organization.

Oversee engineering processes and develop new ones to meet evolving needs.

Manage and improve the hiring process to ensure the right mix of experience, fresh thinking and skills to execute product strategy.

Track and measure individual and team performance to assess overall success.

Foster a learning culture and promote ongoing training in relevant and new technologies.

What You Bring To The Table – Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering with a proven leadership track record.

Exceptional managerial skills with experience leading large-scale software projects and teams.

Ability to interact professionally with engineers and executives.

Advanced knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Strong leadership and strategic management skills with tact, diplomacy and people skills.

Strong accountability for the team’s success.

Experience coaching, mentoring and building a strong, high-efficiency engineering culture.

Working knowledge of C++, C#, React Native, .NET, JavaScript, Atlassian tools, MS Project, Smartsheet or other PM systems.

Willingness to document work effort and track project status ongoing.

Ability to motivate the team and lead them to higher performance.
