Senior Director of Product, Connections Platform Datavant is a data platform company and the world’s leader in health data exchange. Our vision is that every healthcare decision is powered by the right data, at the right time, in the right format. Our platform is powered by the largest, most diverse health data network in the U.S., enabling data to be secure, accessible and usable to inform better health decisions. Datavant is trusted by the world’s leading life sciences companies, government agencies, and those who deliver and pay for care. By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a high-performing, values-driven team. Together, we’re rising to the challenge of tackling some of healthcare’s most complex problems with technology-forward solutions. Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare. Role Description We’re seeking a Senior Director of Product to lead the strategy, vision, and execution of our Connections Platform — the core infrastructure that enables the secure, compliant, and scalable exchange of healthcare data across our network. This leader will drive the next generation of interoperability capabilities, expand our ecosystem of connections across providers, payers, life sciences, and legal and insurance, and ensure the platform continues to deliver reliability and performance at scale. This role will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the core services and infrastructure that power our provider connectivity and digital health data retrieval capabilities. You will drive the evolution of our interoperability platform, expanding our provider network, enabling new integrations, and supporting mission‑critical workflows across multiple verticals. This is a high‑impact leadership role that requires strong technical fluency, deep understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7, X12), and proven experience scaling platform products in complex, regulated environments. The ideal candidate is both strategic and deeply operational, comfortable defining long‑term platform direction while ensuring near‑term execution excellence. They will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Commercial leadership to strengthen our network foundation, support new product innovation, and deliver measurable impact to our customers and business. Responsibilities Set the vision and roadmap for Datavant’s interoperability platform and how our capabilities will advance our ability to fulfill our mission, deliver on client needs, and meet our goals. Have a deep understanding of the value we provide for our provider clients and the users of the provider network, and be the champion & driver of product innovation based on this fundamental understanding. Scale and lead a world‑class team of product managers who are high performing and autonomous, and collaborate closely with engineering, operations, compliance, and go‑to‑market teams to deliver scalable and secure platform capabilities. Expand our provider network by streamlining onboarding, improving integration tooling, and investing in reusable connection frameworks. Enable clinical data retrieval use cases across our three verticals —provider, payer, and life sciences—by building core platform functionality that supports diverse workflows. Partner with Operations and Implementation to balance custom vs. standard solutions and drive automation of customer onboarding and integrations. Align with evolving federal interoperability requirements (e.g., TEFCA, Cures Act) and incorporate relevant standards (FHIR, HL7, CDA, X12, Direct) into product strategy. Treat the provider expansion platform as a business ; you will establish and track KPIs related to platform scalability, integration reliability, provider activation, and request success rates and you will ensure we are maximizing business impact at every step in the roadmap. Maintain a strong working relationship with leaders across the company, including sales, customer success, implementations, legal and marketing. You understand their perspectives and what they value and use that to keep them updated on roadmap and general product developments and benefits. What You Bring to the Table 10 years of experience in product management & leadership, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Strong understanding of healthcare data exchange standards and regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated success scaling platform infrastructure that supports multiple product lines or customer types. Experience managing and mentoring product managers in a high‑growth, cross‑functional environment. Technically adept—comfortable engaging in architecture discussions, API design, and data model tradeoffs. Strategic mindset with strong execution skills—you think big but sweat the details. Excellent communicator who can influence across technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Kindness, smartness, and the ability to get things done. You are an individual with a low ego, understanding that there is no job too big and no job too small. A colleague who is willing to work cross‑functionally to solve challenging problems, regardless of how ambiguous those problems may be. You are passionate about building a business that transforms the healthcare industry. You can lead and do. You are a hands‑on leader who prides themselves on being a strong communicator, coach, and mentor to the team members you lead. You set and rally a team to achieve measurable goals. You have experience managing a highly functioning Product Management team. You have experience managing or working closely with Design, including UI/UX and Service Design. You are excited to interact with sales teams and customers. You bring back the voice of the customer and measure success by impact and adoption, not by a product’s existence or its feature set.
