Location: St. Louis, MO | Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Director of Operations , a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring seamless coordination across all service areas. This role oversees multiple departments, including Marketing, Facilities, Food Service, and Compliance/Transportation, aligning operational priorities with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations across marketing, facilities, food service, and compliance/transportation; develop and implement operational policies that enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness; monitor KPIs to ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery. Strategic Initiatives & Workflow Integration: Lead cross-departmental initiatives that advance strategic goals; integrate projects into daily operations while identifying interdependencies and resolving bottlenecks; establish communication frameworks for transparency across leadership and teams. Leadership & Team Management: Provide executive oversight and mentorship to department directors; cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement; support leadership development and capacity-building initiatives. Facilities Management: Ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality across all facilities and program spaces; oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, emergency preparedness, and vendor relationships; manage facilities budgets, vendor contracts, and long-term capital planning. Compliance, Transportation & Quality Assurance: Supervise the Director of Compliance and Transportation to ensure adherence to federal, state, and accreditation standards; oversee audits, compliance tracking, and quality assurance systems; ensure vehicle maintenance, driver training, and safe transportation operations; use performance metrics to drive improvement. Marketing & Enrollment: Supervise the Director of Marketing and Enrollment to promote growth and strengthen community relationships; guide branding, outreach, and campaign strategies to increase participant enrollment and retention; develop and implement tools for tracking engagement and measuring satisfaction. Food Service Oversight: Supervise the Food Service Manager to ensure delivery of nutritious, compliant, and culturally relevant meals; oversee menu planning, vendor management, and adherence to dietary standards; manage food service budgets and support innovative participant-centered dining initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred . Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, administration, or healthcare/senior services. Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and leading organizational initiatives. Strong knowledge of compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Experience overseeing facilities, food service, transportation, or compliance functions. Proven track record implementing systems that enhance efficiency and accountability. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. PMP certification is a plus.
