About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Director of Marketing and Communications to lead the organization in its mission to expand accessible play opportunities and engage new players, donors, sponsors, and providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for refining, evolving, and owning a multi-channel marketing and communications strategy that aligns with the company's growth and revenue goals. This role requires a strategic leader with a hands-on approach, who is consumer-obsessed, data-driven, and digitally fluent. The Senior Director will oversee brand stewardship, innovation, and market leadership, and will be expected to drive measurable increases in revenue, participation, and donor engagement. They must have a proven track record in both earned and contributed revenue, and be adept at leading a team to meet ambitious growth targets.
Applicants for the Senior Director position at the company should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally in a nonprofit or sports/consumer-facing environment. The role demands a candidate with an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, a builder mentality, and a strong ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams. The Senior Director will be the principal marketing and communications leader, responsible for setting and managing the marketing budget, and ensuring that all marketing efforts reflect inclusive and accessible practices. Proficiency in modern marketing tools and platforms is essential, as is the ability to analyze data, measure ROI, and optimize campaigns for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have a proven ability to create content strategies and authentic storytelling that strengthen brand trust and inspire engagement.
