We are inviting an accomplished Senior Director of Clinical Development focusing on Dermatology to lead and oversee our clinical drug development efforts, ranging from discovery through first-in-human, proof of concept (POC), and Phase 3 studies. You will have the opportunity to provide leadership for one or more assets in our portfolio and work closely with a dynamic cross-functional team to apply your clinical expertise and drive the overall strategy. Key Responsibilities: Act as a senior leader and spokesperson for Clinical Development in Dermatology and Immunology at Alumis. Lead the global ESK-001 Phase 3 program for plaque psoriasis, ensuring successful execution. Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Research, Biomarkers, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, and Business Development as an expert in Dermatology and immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMID). Design and demonstrate innovative clinical studies and cross-functional initiatives. Provide strategic support for clinical strategies across early and late-stage development programs. Collaborate with early development groups to identify opportunities for scientific inquiry, including new indications and line extensions. Partner with Business Development on due diligence and collaboration opportunities in early and late-stage development. Mentor and inspire team members to reach their business objectives, promoting a collaborative work culture. Uphold the highest integrity and scientific standards in drug development. Collaborate with contract research organizations (CROs) for medical monitoring oversight in the Phase 3 program. Qualifications and Skills Needed: MD or equivalent with board certification or eligibility in Immunology or a related field, accompanied by over 5 years of drug development experience. Renowned R&D expertise with a proven ability to engage with Key Opinion Leaders and health organizations in Dermatology. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, evidenced by experience managing teams within a pharmaceutical or clinical/academic setting. Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills to effectively engage with varied audiences. Adept at synthesizing medical and scientific information and understanding the commercial dynamics of drug development. Sound business acumen and collaborative abilities to drive enterprise goals. Strong negotiation skills that enable you to influence without direct authority. Proven track record in strategic planning and execution, managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously. Ability to function effectively within a matrixed organizational structure. Detail-oriented with a knack for organized deliverables and meeting timelines in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously. Publications related to work experience. The salary range for this position is $325,000 USD to $358,000 USD annually, and actual salaries may vary based on the Company's compensation practices. This position is located in South San Francisco, CA, and employees are expected to be onsite Tuesday to Thursday. Currently, we are not considering remote applicants.
