General Purpose
Do you excel at bringing order to complex initiatives? Do you have a knack for turning ambitious ideas into reality? We’re looking for a Senior Director, Global Project Management & Business Services to take the reins and lead our global project management and business services teams.
In this role, you’ll be a strategic leader, overseeing our global project management initiatives. You will drive the vision for how we execute projects, from setting the standards for our PMO to ensuring every major project is delivered successfully. You’ll lead a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate with leaders across the company to boost our project management capabilities.
But that’s not all. You’ll also lead our IT Shared Services unit, which provides the critical infrastructure and support that power our business. From managing the IT budget and vendor relationships to overseeing quality engineering and internal communications, you’ll ensure our IT services are efficient, reliable, and aligned with our growth goals.
As the leader of our Global PMO and IT Shared Services , you will have a direct impact on our digital transformation journey. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to make sure our technology and project efforts are not just successful, but also aligned with our company’s strategic goals.

Duties And Responsibilities PMO Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement PMO strategy: Define and execute the global PMO strategy in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring that all projects are managed consistently and effectively across regions.
Governance & Frameworks: Establish global project management frameworks, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and best practices to ensure consistent execution across projects.
Global Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure the availability of skilled project managers and cross-functional teams.
Portfolio Management: Lead the management and reporting of a global project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities. Establish performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and success.
Project Delivery: Ensure project success by monitoring the execution of strategic projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues that could affect project timelines, quality, or cost.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO, implementing lessons learned from past projects and introducing process improvements to increase efficiency.
Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a global team of project managers and PMO staff. Provide coaching and professional development to enhance team performance and career growth.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., IT, Finance, Marketing, Operations) and regional PMO teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with broader business objectives.
Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives by supporting project managers and teams in adapting to new processes, tools, or methodologies.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on project performance, portfolio health, and any potential issues that require attention.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for all key stakeholders, ensuring that communication is clear, transparent, and effective throughout the lifecycle of global projects.
Client & Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and clients, managing expectations and ensuring the successful execution of third-party projects.
Technology & Tools
Tool Standardization: Define and implement standardized project management tools, software, and systems (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet) across global regions.
Data Analytics: Utilize project performance data and analytics to continuously improve project delivery and decision-making processes.
IT Shared Services
Lead and provide oversight to this business unit that involves the execution of the following tasks across all IT to ensure:
Budget and Financial Management
Process and Quality Engineering
Resource Management
Performance Metrics
Vendor & Contract Management
Change Management
Event Management
IT Communications
Supervisor Responsibilities
Manages People: Yes
Required Qualifications
PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification is required.
15+ years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing Global PMOs.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale, multi-regional projects in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Leadership & Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams across multiple regions.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into actionable project management strategies and plans.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives and all levels of the organization.
Change Management: Experience in driving and managing organizational change.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze project data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Cultural Awareness: Experience working in a global organization with diverse teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
Results-Oriented: Consistently meets or exceeds objectives and demonstrates a focus on delivering results.
Decision Making: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
Collaboration: Ability to build relationships and work effectively across multiple functions and regions.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to address complex project challenges.
Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet).
Experience with project portfolio management tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, and a Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) in related fields.
Experience in a global organization
Other certifications such as Agile, or Six Sigma are highly desirable.
