Overview Senior Director, Global Project Management & Business Services leads global project management and IT Shared Services initiatives. The role drives the vision for project execution, sets PMO standards, and delivers major projects. You will lead a team of professionals and collaborate with senior leaders to enhance project management capabilities and IT services aligned with growth goals.
You will also lead the Global PMO and IT Shared Services, shaping the digital transformation journey and ensuring technology and project efforts align with the company’s strategic goals. Duties and Responsibilities PMO Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement global PMO strategy aligned with organizational goals; ensure consistent and effective project management across regions.
Governance & Frameworks: Establish global project management frameworks, methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), and best practices for consistent execution.
Global Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure availability of skilled project managers and cross-functional teams.
Portfolio Management: Lead global project portfolio management and reporting; establish KPIs to track progress and alignment with business objectives.
Project Delivery: Monitor strategic projects to ensure on-time, on-scope, and on-budget delivery.
Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues affecting timelines, quality, or cost.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, applying lessons learned and implementing processes to increase efficiency.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a global PMO team; provide coaching and professional development.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and regional PMO teams for seamless execution and alignment.
Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives by supporting adoption of new processes, tools, or methodologies.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project performance, portfolio health, and issues requiring attention.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as primary contact for key stakeholders with clear, transparent communication throughout project lifecycles.
Client & Vendor Management: Oversee external vendor and client relationships to ensure successful third-party project execution.
Technology & Tools: Define and implement standardized project management tools and systems (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet) across regions.
Data Analytics: Use project performance data to continuously improve delivery and decision-making.
IT Shared Services: Lead oversight of IT Shared Services, including Budget & Financial Management, Process & Quality Engineering, Resource Management, Performance Metrics, Vendor & Contract Management, Change Management, Event Management, and IT Communications.
Supervisor Responsibilities Manages People: Yes – responsible for all aspects of talent management and development for their team.
Required Qualifications PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is required.
15+ years of progressive project management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing Global PMOs.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale, multi-regional projects in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
Experience in a global organization.
Other certifications such as Agile or Six Sigma are highly desirable.
