JOB SUMMARY The Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for the FP&A team supporting the Virginia HRM properties and the Colonial Downs Racetrack (“CDG”). This role works closely with the Vice President of Gaming Operations for Virginia, the Vice President of Finance for CDG – Shared Services, the leadership of The Rose, as well as the leadership of the Rosie’s venues in Virginia. This role collaborates with the leadership of our Virginia properties to develop and implement strategic and operating plans to drive profitable growth. This role is responsible for analysis and decision support related to capital management, process efficiencies, and vendor related activities. This role interfaces with Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) Corporate Finance team and ensures the alignment of CDG and The Rose financial forecasts with corporate goals. Position is located in New Kent, Virginia.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead FP&A activities for the Virginia HRM venues and CDG under the direction of Vice President of Gaming Operations – Virginia and Corporate Vice President – Gaming Finance
Lead the development of the Virginia annual operating plans including project and maintenance capital plans.
Lead the development of operational and financial analytics and models for long-term financial forecasting for the Virginia properties.
Lead monthly analysis of actual financial results and the development of monthly forecast updates for the Virginia properties.
Provide financial modeling and analysis for capital management, pricing, sponsorships, and vendor-related activities for the Virginia properties.
Refine financial and operating statistics to drive consistent performance and accountability across operational departments.
Review financial statements with Virginia operational leaders to identify inefficiencies, concerns, and performance enhancements.
Work with CDI Corporate Finance and Virginia property leaders to drive actions to achieve financial plans and forecasts and to identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Strong work ethic and ability to cultivate productive relationships across the organization.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and financial reporting systems (SAP and/or JD Edwards).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
Willingness and ability to pass suitability requirements of a gaming licensing body, including submission of detailed background and financial data.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or financial leadership positions, preferably in a gaming environment,
Strong finance knowledge and thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP.
