Oversees the activities of the Electric Distribution operations, provides leadership and direction to achieve goals and implement change. Responsibilities include safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, cost-effective resource allocation, staff selection and development, process improvement and oversight, major project management and daily field operations activities. Coordinates and participates in problem- resolution and emergency response with other functions and subject matter experts. Ensures administrative matters such as payroll, budgets, performance reviews, safety, scheduling, and work management reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures the use of Operational dashboards data for optimum decision-making in the department. Requires contact with the public, contractors, local government agencies and officials, other utilities, and the media. Requires extensive travel throughout the regions.**Key Responsibilities:*** Develops and implements annual business plan for Electric Distribution including O&M and Capital budgets. Monitors ongoing progress and reallocates resources as necessary to ensure goal achievement (Safety, Reliability, and Customer Service).* Oversee and evaluate work processes. Identifies and implements process improvements. Creates a climate of innovation, in which ideas for process improvement are continually encouraged from within the organization.* Oversees departments initiatives, the preparation of budgets and the tracking, cost control, and reporting of actual O&M and capital expenditures.* Responsible for employee goals and objectives while ensuring alignment with department and corporate goals.* Reviews reports that document performance in meeting department, corporate, or regulatory goals and requirements.* Represents the company on various teams or committees regarding state, regional or national issues.
