This is a pivotal IT leadership role within CentiMark Corporation specializing in Roofing, Flooring, and Service. We are investing in a digital transformation, and we are seeking a highly driven, hands-on technologist and strategic leader to own the Commercial IT landscape.
The successful candidate is being hired with the intent to transition into the VP, IT role, provided readiness and performance criteria are met. We are planning a structured transition with full overlap and mentorship from the current incumbent, ensuring success and continuity during this critical period of transformation. This is a significant investment in a long-term leadership career.
Key Accountabilities
The Senior Director, Commercial IT will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, balancing management with technical depth (a "working manager" philosophy). You will be the single point of accountability for all commercial technology, processes, and people.
I. IT Business Partnering & Strategic Leadership- Strategic Business Partner (Face of IT): Serve as the primary strategic partner and the face of IT to the Commercial Leadership Team—specifically the Sales, Service, and Marketing leaders. You will translate their business strategy and challenges into high-impact technology solutions.
- Roadmap & Prioritization: You are responsible for shaping the Commercial IT roadmap, driving demand, and facilitating the business's IT prioritization process. You are accountable for delivering against this roadmap, overseeing the management of the backlog, and ensuring all initiatives align with growth targets.
- OneIT Collaboration: Serve as a key member of the IT Management Team, collaborating with leaders across the organization (e.g., those responsible for SAP, Infrastructure, Analytics, and Security, etc.) to define standards and drive initiatives that ensure a unified "OneIT" operating environment and integrated enterprise architecture.
- Team & Ecosystem Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated CentiMark internal team of Commercial IT professionals. Strategically manage the financial and performance outcomes of our IT Partner services ecosystem.
- Estimating & Quoting: Serve as the technical owner for all Pre-Sales Enablement platforms, ensuring the stability and evolution of mission-critical processes like Estimating, Quoting, and Sales Proposal Generation.
- Platform Expertise: Provide strategic oversight for the underlying configuration and pricing platforms, with deep expertise required in Salesforce and specific knowledge of complex solutions like Logik.ai (or similar Advanced Quoting/Pricing tools).
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Oversee the entire Salesforce-centric platform supporting core CRM processes (Lead, Opportunity, Activity Management) and ensure maximum user adoption and data integrity.
- Digital Experience: Direct the development and continuous improvement of Sales and Customer Experience Portals.
- Marketing Technology (MarTech): Be responsible for the technology platforms and technical enablement for Marketing Automation, ensuring systems reliably support key capabilities like campaign management, email/web marketing, and the delivery of critical marketing analytics and reporting.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, with 5+ years in a Director or Senior Manager role specifically leading teams focused on Sales Enablement, Commercial Systems, or MarTech.
- Deep, hands-on expert-level knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.) is mandatory.
- Proven success in deploying and managing complex Estimating/Quoting solutions, ideally with Logik.ai or another leading advanced pricing and quoting platform.
- Exceptional record as a "working manager," capable of balancing strategic planning with hands-on architectural design and problem-solving.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing complex project portfolios using Jira in an agile methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business field.
- Experience within the Commercial Contracting, Construction, or Industrial sector.
- Working knowledge of integration technologies like Mulesoft.
- Understanding of AI/ML applications in a commercial context, with a preference for knowledge of Google Gemini capabilities.
- Experience in overseeing custom Java application development.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems like SAP and how they integrate with commercial platforms.
