This role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead and shape the clinical pharmacology strategy for a portfolio of drug candidates across multiple therapeutic areas. The Senior Director will guide the design, execution, and analysis of pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD), and immunogenicity studies from preclinical stages through clinical development and commercialization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, regulatory, and nonclinical experts to drive data-driven decisions, regulatory submissions, and innovative approaches to drug development. This role provides visibility to executive leadership, opportunities to mentor and develop teams, and the chance to influence program strategies at a senior level in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Accountabilities · Serve as the clinical pharmacology expert across all clinical programs, providing strategic and scientific guidance from preclinical development through Phase 3 trials.
· Lead the clinical pharmacology team and oversee study design, program strategy, data analysis, and regulatory interactions.
· Integrate clinical pharmacology insights with related disciplines including statistics, nonclinical ADME, toxicology, and regulatory affairs to inform development decisions.
· Ensure appropriate PK/PD analyses, including population PK modeling and simulation, are conducted for each program.
· Collaborate with preclinical scientists on translational PK/PD studies to support candidate selection and first-in-human dosing strategies.
· Develop and implement new approaches for clinical pharmacology studies to optimize drug development programs.
· Contribute to protocol design, study execution, data review, reporting, and regulatory documentation.
· Represent clinical pharmacology in external regulatory meetings and contribute to scientific publications.
Requirements
· PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent in pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including 5+ years in clinical pharmacology leadership roles.
· Experience with diverse molecules, including biologics, small molecules, and gene therapies.
· Demonstrated expertise in presenting and discussing clinical pharmacology with regulatory authorities and internal/external stakeholders.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical datasets and individual patient data.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and engage subject matter experts to execute programs successfully.
· Technical proficiency in PK analysis (NCA and PopPK).
· High level of integrity, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
· Eligible to work remotely in the U.S., with occasional travel to corporate headquarters.
