BA/BS and 18+ years of experience to include 3 + years' experience as manager of staff. Proven experience in business development and capture management, supporting the development of $1B+ opportunity pipelines, multi-service account plans and leading development of $500M+ Demonstrated understanding of the Armed Forces markets and the changing environments of the developments inside the domain Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing long-term vision and direction for an organization Considerable customer engagement experience with key accounts like Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps in establishing relationships, executing call plans, identifying objectives, and maintaining strong customer satisfaction Minimum 10+ years of experience working in the Federal Government Acquisition market A strong understanding of the Armed Forces missions and operations with relevant industry and government relationships Knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape within Federal Government domain. Strong Federal Acquisition business acumen and market knowledge Experience developing corporate wide growth strategies and strategic plans Minimum active Top Secret security clearance w/ ability to obtain SCI Peraton is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development for the Defense Mission Systems (DMS) Business Unit (BU) who will lead the BU’s growth team in the development and execution of their business development objectives. The Sr Director of Business Development will be responsible to: Support the creation and execution of strategic growth initiatives across Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps. Responsible for managing the function and identifying business opportunities for the Company and developing relationships with key decision makers in the government marketplace. Develops key business relationships in the government marketplace, with a primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities for business expansion. Supports the development of customer or market penetration strategies and individual opportunity win strategies, account plans, technology development plans, and partnering strategies. Acts as liaison with government agencies and offices. Ensures that the business development strategy is implemented. Makes recommendations for change or modification to strategy. Leads teams in order to develop and deliver various professional services solutions to include whitepapers, demonstrations, proposals and other internally developed products used to identify, qualify and capture new business. Provide strategic direction, collaboration and input to our Defense Mission & Health Solutions (DM&HS) Sector VP of Growth, Executive Leadership Team, General Managers, and Board of Directors. This includes building strategic account plans across disparate, but related customers, to maintain and expand our current footprint of programs across the portfolio. A successful candidate will operate as an integral member of the DM&HS growth team, partnering with operational and functional leaders across the company.
