The Nielsen Marketing Cloud has 3 core product offerings:
- Easy-to-use cloud software that enables first-party data management, including data ingestion, advanced insights, data segmentation, and audience syndication to downstream adtech platforms.
- Industry-leading audience data for targeting and activation in downstream adtech platforms that help brands and publishers more effectively engage consumers across all channels and at every stage in the consumer journey.
- First-party, ID-based data enrichment that expands brand and publisher data sets so they can learn more about their consumers, including who they are and what their interests are, ultimately leading to more personalized advertising.
Our Nielsen Marketing Cloud Publisher & Platform Business Development Team is small but mighty. As the leader of our team, you will be surrounded by a group of enthusiastic and consultative sellers with a deep understanding of the adtech ecosystem and how the sell-side can benefit from our products. Job Description
You will lead a team responsible for the sales strategy development and execution of Nielsen Marketing Cloud products to Social Media Networks, other Publisher Networks, and National Media companies. We are looking for a dynamic sales leader who is client-focused with a strong background in data-driven solutions and in-depth knowledge of the digital advertising landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of new business sellers in the sell-side/publishers space
- Hire, train, and develop new top talent
- In collaboration with your direct reports, develop quarterly and annual sales plans to identify growth opportunities with existing and new clients within Publisher/Platform/Data Exchanges spaces
- Lead your team to deliver agreed quarterly and annual sales targets through new business development.
- In collaboration with your team, lead discovery sessions to identify the customer's key needs and pain points. Work with the prospect in a consultative fashion to develop a digital strategy vision and position the Nielsen Marketing Cloud offering as an instrumental part of that vision.
- Develop solid, strategic relationships with key decision-makers at targeted accounts.
- Build internal relationships across the Client Strategy and Agency/Advertiser Sales Teams, as well as other members of the Publisher/Platform Team, to identify cross and upsell opportunities.
- Collaborate with NMC senior leadership to drive new business and reach revenue targets
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a sales/account management capacity for Social Media Networks or sell-side/publishers preferred.
- 3+ years of experience leading sales teams
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of media and advertising across digital landscapes.
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business plans, and executing them successfully.
- Demonstrable experience in proposing and negotiating solutions and pricing.
- Strategic thinking, analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Results-oriented, resilient, persuasive and self motivated.
- High-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset to work well with others.
- Willingness to travel 2-3 times per quarter.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or comparable work experience.
