We are seeking a highly organized Sales Director who is responsible for strategic and tactical planning, developing, directing and coordinating the execution of all aspects of the sales activities for Friendship Village of Dublin products and services in a fashion consistent with the Friendship Village of Dublin brand. This includes Independent Living, Assisted Living, Friendship at Home, The Bailey at Bridge Park and other new products and services as developed. Responsibilities include sales management, direct sales, managing team performance, coordination of outside professional services, referral development and special event programs.
PRINCIPLE JOB DUTIES :
Serves as Sales Director with the authority and responsibility for meeting occupancy development goals and execution of all elements of the sales mix in support of Friendship Village of Dublin, Friendship at Home and The Bailey at Bridge Park.
Works with Marketing and Strategic Communications Directors and leadership to develop annual strategic sales plan and associated budget consistent with organizational goals. Consults with other departments to ensure program compatibility and consistency.
Plans, develops and executes all aspects of sales, including presentations for all product lines to ensure lead generation, occupancy development and community involvement in collaboration with Life Plan Councilors and other team members.
Fully executes the sales and referral objectives and strategies as outlined in the annual marketing and sales plan.
Responsible for the achievement of sales, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the CEO.
Demonstrates strategic thinking in driving revenue growth through occupancy optimization, innovative programming, and thought leadership.
Responsible for meeting personal and team performance goals by providing sales coaching and development to Life Plan Councilors and managing sales activity to ensure sales and closing goals are met.
Uses Direct Sales Performance Indicators to set goals and diagnose areas of strength or needed improvement.
Ensures timely and accurate input as appropriate into the Sherpa CRM or other community specific systems.
Maintains frequent and consistent communication with the CEO, Marketing Director and Strategic Communications and Relations Director and other leadership team members.
Ensures that all prospective inquiries are managed and that timely follow-through is maintained in accordance with designated time frames.
Selects, trains, and supervises the performance of all sales team members and actively engages in coaching activities to enhance team performance.
Staffs the office to meet business needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Promotes the community via community relations activities and involvement in community groups and events, as assigned.
Prepares and maintains accurate and timely reports as required.
Stays updated about relevant operational, competitive and company information in order to respond effectively to prospect inquiries and community contacts.
Works with team members to plan and execute events as identified in the marketing and sales plan.
Maintains a climate/culture that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel, both paid and volunteer.
Ensures articulation of organization's desired brand and position, assures consistent communication of brand and position throughout the organization, and ensures communication of brand and position to all constituencies, both internal and external.
Ensures that the organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinates this activity to monitor trends and competition.
Attends and leads in-services and community training sessions as needed.
Assumes responsibilities for personal work areas and maintaining areas in a presentable manner.
Maintains working knowledge of regulations that impact the industry.
Acts as an internal consultant to bring attention and solutions to institutional priorities.
Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS: Strategic Planning and Execution Ability to develop and implement long-term plans that align with organizational goals.
Proven experience translating vision into actionable revenue-generating strategies.
Experience developing/maintaining a department budget.
Ten years of experience in marketing, sales, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the senior services sector.
Familiarity, experience and proficiency with CRM software system(s), required.

Skilled in optimizing space or service utilization to maximize revenue.

Program Development & Innovation Bachelor's degree in marketing, marketing communications or public relations with a graduate degree preferred in a related field is desirable.
