Description
The Director of Sales will lead the selling function and will carry out a variety of tasks and functions in support of the business plan and revenue and profit objectives of the company with key accounts in the American & Canadian region. They will be responsible for marketing AARs products and services to current and potential customers. They will have responsibility for the sales process including working alongside the business units and product lines for sales generation and structured commercial contracts. They will be responsible for a territory and a sales support team dealing with customers on a daily basis.
What you will be responsible for:
Identify and communicate to management, sales revenue opportunities in the marketplace.
Establish competitive pricing levels for AARs products and services.
Liaise with the appropriate personnel within the business supply chain to transact, expedite inventory shipments, purchase orders.
Maintain customer satisfaction
Ensure commercial program contracts are fulfilled (Where applicable).
Research market for new customers and sell to new customers.
Prepares and reviews bids, proposals and marketing literature that may be required.
Negotiates contracts with customers and or business partners.
Work cooperatively with other members of the business units to ensure the highest service level possible. This includes actively participating in group meetings/project teams and consistently striving to improve the organization (where applicable).
Identify procurement and trading opportunities within the region and / or account mix assigned
Ensure that departmental procedures are understood and followed
Become familiar with Customer's special and technical requirements.
Represent AAR at major industry events such as trade shows, MRO, Conventions as necessary
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What you will need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor of Arts degree () or Bachelor of Science degree () from four-year college or university; or eight years related industry experience in a sales / business related position with demonstrable track record of business growth and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Post Graduate Qualifications (MBA/ Masters equivalent) would be desirable.
Extensive experience of selling technical Aerospace products and services including MRO.
Senior level customer relationships with existing Airline, MRO, Distribution and Leasing companies in the Americas region would be required.
LANGUAGE:
English, Fluency (written and speech).
TRAVEL:
This role requires applicants to extensively travel domestically and internationally. Travel locations will be determined by business strategy and direction alongside transactional opportunities.
