Salary: See Position Description Location : South Charleston, WV Job Type: Faculty Job Number: 382 Division: Academic Affairs Opening Date: 05/08/2025 Description The director of clinical education/faculty (DCE) is responsible for leadership in developing, conducting, and ongoing assessment of the respiratory therapy clinical education. A reassignment of teaching load is provided to carry out duties. The DCE is responsible for the structure and daily operation of clinical experiences and ongoing assessment of clinical effectiveness. The DCE will assume other responsibilities within the program such as teaching and advising. This is a 9-month position. The salary range for this position is 40,000-62,500. Salary offer will be commensurate with education and experience.

Examples of Duties Example of Academic Duties: Provides didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction Develops course syllabus with goals and objectives Evaluates students learning to ensure that objectives are met Reports student progress at prescribed intervals Updates course materials as student learning dictates Adheres to the goals, policies, and mission of the program as well as BridgeValley CTC Provides guidance and support and advises students Communicates with the program director, BridgeValley administration, faculty, staff, and professional organizations, Participates in professional development activities Meets with the program director as needed Participates in recruiting activities Administrative Duties: Manges all clinical experiences Ensure compliance with accreditation and institutional reporting requirements Provide leadership for part-time/adjunct faculty Evaluate curricula for relevancy and consistency Schedule clinical experiences effectively Responsible for the daily operation of clinical rotations Administration and periodic review and evaluation of program curricula Ensuring the effectiveness and maintenance of all clinical affiliations Institutional: Seek external funding Recommend trainers and adjunct faculty Promote sustainable practices Promote department activities Attend required meetings Other duties as assigned Qualifications The program director must: Possess a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree (a master's degree is preferred) Possess a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license with a minimum of (4) four years' experience as an RRT with at least (2) years in clinical respiratory care Have two years' experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance as an instructor or preceptor for respiratory students Has completed or willing to complete the CoARC Key Personnel Training Program
