Relocation assistance Essential Duties: Profit and Loss Statement Ensure that invoices are sent to Accounting weekly to be input with proper coding and Use Tax accruals The first draft of the monthly P&L is to be routed no later than the 12th day of the month Additional accruals/invoices processed before the 15th Creating and posting payroll and benefits distributions, and accruals Final P&L to be routed by the 15th Items due Monthly bank reconciliation Monthly City Ledger and Guest Ledger Aging Quarterly-Asset & Liability reconciliation Year-end End-P&L reconciliation and Journal Entries Ownership Responsibilities Monthly financial statements to Ownership Other Responsibilities: Manages and directs the Accounting Team and oversees payroll if applicable Management of all bank accounts Proper utilization of Targetvue for Budget and Forecasting, PVNG for P&L, and reporting Ensure that a backup of all invoices and journal entries is uploaded to PVNG Filing of monthly local and state sales, use, and occupancy tax returns, which will include educating the Front Office and outlets on the proper handling of tax-exempt guests, timely and accurate filings with all jurisdictions Review accounts payable for proper use of tax accruals Annual liquor license renewal Audit petty cash receipts and all Expense Reports Maintain on-property manual checks and complete the Manual Check log Preparation of annual budget Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Organizational ability is paramount, as annual audits of the books need supporting backups that can be easily accessed. Working knowledge of all areas of accounting (A/R, A/P, Payroll, collections, inventory control, credit, etc.)
Hands-on financial leadership across resort operations (golf, lodging, F&B, ownership groups)
Direct experience with condo rental programs and HOA financials
A collaborative, strategic mindset with the ability to lead a team and advise senior leadership
Candidates who are either familiar with Wisconsin or genuinely comfortable living in a more remote setting
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, with a minimum of five years of related experience in all Accounting aspects or 1 year as a Controller. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a B.A. or B.S. degree in accounting is preferred
At least 5 years of Hospitality Resort or Hotel experience #post
