What will you contribute?
As the Eastern Regional Director for our Retail Lending Sales and Account Management teams, you will lead three dynamic territories - Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast. Each team includes a Territory Leader, Account Executives focused on client success, retention, and revenue growth across a strategic portfolio of financial institutions, and Sales Executives responsible for driving new client acquisition.
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of the sales organization, shape go-to-market strategies, manage forecasting and sales execution, demand generation, and collaborate closely with Sales Operations to optimize CRM usage and operational reporting. This is a quota-carrying leadership position that reports directly to the VP of Sales and demands a strong blend of strategic vision, team development, and direct client engagement.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Drive achievement of sales targets and revenue goals for the Retail Lending Business Unit across the Eastern Region.
- Oversee day-to-day sales execution and go-to-market strategy, including pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and territory planning.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Leaders, Account Executives, and Sales Executives focused on client success, retention, and new client acquisition.
- Foster trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-level executives, to understand their strategic priorities and business environments.
- Guide the team in delivering consultative, solution-based selling that clearly articulates the value of our retail lending offerings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Services, Marketing, and other internal teams to support client needs and ensure timely delivery of proposals and solutions.
- Monitor account health and proactively address risks to retention or growth; serve as an escalation point for complex client issues.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and client-centricity across the team.
- Represent the company at industry events, user groups, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and deepen client engagement.
- Manage team operations including budgeting, expense approvals, performance evaluations, and talent acquisition.
Required Skills & Experience:
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of financial services, particularly retail lending solutions and client operating environments.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead consultative sales efforts and articulate solution value and ROI.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience
- 8+ years in financial services with a focus on account management or consultative sales.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing client-facing teams.
- Experience working directly with financial institutions, preferably in retail lending.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex client relationships and driving revenue growth.
- Experience engaging with senior-level decision makers and navigating multi-stakeholder environments.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
