Permian Basin Counseling & Guidance (PBCG), a division of West Texas Counseling & Guidance (WTCG), is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health services across Southeastern New Mexico and West Texas. Position Overview

The Regional Director plays a pivotal leadership role in strengthening the operational and community foundation that enables our clinical teams to thrive. This position oversees the day-to-day operations and outreach of our outpatient counseling centers across Southeastern New Mexico and the West Texas Permian Basin region.

The Regional Director will represent the organization across the region, build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders, support grant development and reporting, lead outreach initiatives, and help ensure the highest standards of client care and service delivery. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborates closely with organizational leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operational functions of regional counseling centers.
  • Strengthen partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, local governments, and community organizations.
  • Represent the organization at councils, coalitions, and community events.
  • Support grant writing, reporting, and fundraising efforts to promote program sustainability.
  • Serve as a community ambassador for mental health awareness and advocacy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent quality of care and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor regional performance metrics and support staff in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Promote a positive, mission-driven culture across regional teams.



Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Nonprofit Management, Healthcare Administration, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or behavioral health settings.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse community stakeholders.
  • Background in strategic planning, financial management, and public speaking.
  • Familiarity with mental health services and nonprofit funding landscapes preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
