Float Director of Nursing- looking for an experienced SNF RN that can hit the ground running!
Overview
The Regional Director of Nursing- Float is responsible for providing support, as needed, to any of our 11 skilled nursing facilities in or near central Connecticut. Float assignments can be either short or long term, depending on the needs of the facility. The Regional Director of Nursing- Float oversees the standards of nursing practice at their assigned facility and is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing clinical programs and directing the overall operation.
Responsibilities
Manages all levels of nursing staff to ensure accountability to all standards of nursing practice, quality care, and treatments.
Responsible for development of a schedule of daily rounds and assignment of duties for all nursing staff.
Responsible for the overall training of nursing staff to support clinical services and to meet and exceed established clinical competency levels.
Works closely with the Administrator to manage staffing in accordance to census and acuity while maintaining quality of care in order to meet patient care objectives.
Provides leadership for directing and responding to state/federal regulations and surveys.
Collaborates with the centralized human resources department on matters related to nursing staff recruitment, retention, performance, disciplinary issues, and labor relations.
Qualifications
An active RN license in the State of Connecticut, required.
Experience in a supervisory position in long-term care, required.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Improvement processes, required.
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) or another health care related field, preferred.
Experience with state survey process, preferred.
