Role Description
Your Role:
The Regional Business Director leads, motivates, evaluates and provides feedback to Regional Business Managers on the East Coast to meet or exceed sales goals, call plans, IC targets and staffing requirements. Establishes and executes plans for effective deployment of resources in the East inclusive of Sales Force resources, project initiatives, promotional tactics (including samples) and provides recommendations to intra-area access strategies.
They maintain overall supervision, recruitment and performance management of Therapeutic Sales Specialists and Regional Business Managers. Directs and monitors the Regional Business Managers to ensure they are implementing the established standards of performance with their Therapeutic Sales Specialists. Together with Regional Business Managers and Sales Force drive innovative patient engagement initiatives through current stakeholders (prescribers), trade channels (pharmacies) and direct to patients, while strictly observing that these initiatives are compliant with rules and regulations.
Your Responsibilities:
Accountable for the achievement of budgeted financial sales and profit targets by achieving/exceeding budgeted net sales revenues and costs
Develop business plans that are aligned with strategic direction of the Company; translate strategic objectives into actions and deliverables and drive execution through sales team
Manage geographically aligned Regions/territories to maximize net sales results of products
Prepare for and conduct area meetings and POA’s; participate in relevant meetings /conferences as part of the Sales Leadership Team; attend meetings in NJ or other assigned locations as required
Work with and through Regional Business Managers to ensure effective coaching and performance management
Work with NAMA team to secure adequate and effective Medical Information and Support
Work with MAPS team to agree on Area priorities and specific plans for pull-through in sales force
Work with Marketing team to plan and prioritize brand strategies and tactics
Provide ongoing communications and feedback to Commercial leaders and their teams regarding Area’s activities to ensure field perspectives are represented
Regularly review Field Coaching Reports and provide feedback and guidance to Regional Business Managers, conduct field coaching sessions with Therapeutic Sales Specialists as appropriate
Regularly analyze sales and operations data to track results toward Area business plan; identify trends and challenges and regularly communicate information to Regional Business Managers to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
Recruit, build, and develop a high-quality sales force in a timely manner while maintaining high quality hiring and productivity standards
Exhibit and encourage leadership among Regional Business Managers through ongoing coaching, training, and leadership practices
Promote ethical business practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and LEO policies, including but not limited to PhRMA code, OIG regulations, and PDMA policies and procedures
Your Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry; minimum 5 years Sales Management experience
BA/BS required; MBA preferred
Dermatology, Specialty or Immunology experience required; selling sub-cutaneous self-injectable (or office administered IC) biologics experience required
Corporate office experience at a pharmaceutical sales company is strongly preferred
Previous experience in managing a successful product launch and/or product turnaround experience desired
Experience managing in a complex reimbursement, challenging product access environment inclusive of specialty pharmacy distributed medicines
Consistent and proven track record of sales results
Strong knowledge of legal and pharmaceutical guidelines
Excellent motivational and communication skills
Excellent analytical and strategic skills
Ability to travel extensively within and external to assigned Area; some nights, weekends and overnight travel may be required
Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence; must possess and maintain a satisfactory driving record, and must live within or reasonably close to Area geographic boundaries to provide effective oversight of Area activities
The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $270,000 USD per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
