Every batch we produce reflects our dedication to precision, compliance, and excellence.Position SummaryThe Quality Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring that Gummi World's products meet or exceed quality and regulatory standards. This role requires being present on the production floor the majority of the day to monitor processes, perform inspections, and resolve issues in real time. The Quality Manager oversees daily QA/QC operations, leads root cause analysis for deviations, and ensures rapid, effective corrective actions. This position also requires the ability to work quickly, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOn-the-Floor Quality Leadership•Be physically present on the production floor most of the day, monitoring operations and ensuring compliance with quality standards.•Proactively identify potential quality concerns and intervene before they become issues.•Serve as the primary on-site quality contact for production staff.Quality Operations & Compliance•Oversee daily quality control activities for raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.•Maintain compliance with cGMP, HACCP, FSMA, CFR 111, and other applicable regulations.•Ensure testing equipment is calibrated, maintained, and compliant with standards.Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action•Lead and document thorough root cause investigations for non-conformances, OOS results, and customer complaints.•Develop and implement timely CAPAs to prevent recurrence.•Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Maintenance to eliminate systemic issues.Auditing & Documentation•Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory and customer audits.•Maintain complete and accurate quality documentation, including batch records and test results.•Participate in supplier qualification and raw material inspections.Collaboration & Continuous Improvement•Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance efficiency.•Support new product development and validation with a focus on quality integration.•Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the facility.Team Leadership & Training•Supervise, mentor, and train QA/QC staff.•Provide regular training to production personnel on quality standards and compliance procedures.•Foster teamwork, accountability, and clear communication across departments.Skills & Qualifications•Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field (preferred).•Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Quality role within a food or dietary supplement manufacturing environment.•Strong knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, FSMA, and CFR 111 requirements.•Proven experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.•Ability to work quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage multiple priorities.•Experience with FDA or third-party audits.•Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems/software.•Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Benefits•100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees (dependent coverage available at cost).•4 weeks PTO annually, with potential for additional accrual over time.•Paid company holidays.
