Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing quality control and assurance standards across all internal and external projects. This includes developing procedures, conducting audits, reviewing documentation, and collaborating with project teams to ensure all work meets safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship benchmarks. This position plays a vital role in continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development and rollout of standardized QA processes

  • Conduct quality training for team members

  • Audit internal teams and subcontractors for compliance

  • Provide performance feedback to project leaders related to QA outcomes

  • Establish and maintain a company-wide quality assurance system tailored to project types (residential, commercial, infrastructure)

  • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure alignment with technical specifications, regulatory codes, and client expectations

  • Inspect project sites and documentation to validate adherence to standards

  • Identify quality risks and collaborate with operations, safety, and project managers to address deficiencies

  • Implement corrective and preventive action plans as needed

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance documentation
    Develop and update QA checklists, forms, and protocols

  • Provide regular QA performance reports to the executive team

  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues

  • Ensure subcontractors and suppliers are aligned with our quality standards

  • Lead or participate in pre-construction meetings to embed quality protocols early

  • Continuously seek process improvements, leveraging industry best practices

  • Support contract reviews and specification compliance before project execution

  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

  • Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ASQ) is a plus

  • OSHA 30 or ability to obtain

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in construction or heavy trades

  • Proven experience in reviewing blueprints, project plans, and inspection standards

  • Experience conducting field and process audits

  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations

  • Capable of training others and fostering a quality-first culture
