Mental Health Director / Psychologist - Corrections A multi-site network in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Psychologist and Mental Health Director for one of their multiple correctional facilities.  This permanent role offers the chance to manage a team, oversee mental health programs, and drive patient care outcomes in line with clinical guidelines and community standards.

Responsibilities

Oversee routine mental health intakes, assessments, and evaluations

Supervise mental health staff and facilitate care delivery

Administer treatments and prescribe psychotropic medications

Contribute to behavioral health program development and evaluation

Promote a therapeutic environment for inmate patients

Participate in hiring and orientation of mental health staff

Provide direct mental health services as needed

Maintain security clearance for the assigned facility

Compensation: $125,000 - $135,000/yr (Depending on experience)

Job Requirements

Completion from an accredited medical school with a degree of Ph.D., Psy.D., MD, or DO

Completion of a US-based residency program in a mental health facility

Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state

Experience with mental health delivery systems

Maintains an active CPR Certification

Unrestricted and valid prescriptive authority with DEA and CDS

Intermediate computer skills and experience with Electronic Health Records
