Program Director/Therapist (Part-time)

Intensive Support Services (ISS) provides assessment, care coordination, skill development, mentoring, individual and family counseling, and substance recovery services to Sawyer County youth and their families. The Therapist/Program Director is responsible for the program’s clinical and administrative leadership. This role involves direct therapeutic services for youth and families, program oversight, and collaboration with community partners to implement diversion strategies effectively. The position ensures quality assurance, compliance with contractual guidelines, and the provision of trauma-informed, person-centered care.
Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of program operations and supervision of staff, including managing and approving time cards, expense reports, performance evaluation, and corrective action, as needed
Serve as the main point of contact with Sawyer County Social Services and other partners
Ensure timely and accurate completion of program documentation and reports
Work in conjunction with HR to recruit, screen, interview, and hire new program staff
Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and training to program staff
Ensure all staff licensures, certifications, and caregiver background checks are up to date, provided to the contracting entity, and filed appropriately in conjunction with the HR department
Develop, maintain, and update program policies and procedures
Create and maintain a quality assurance process that monitors the quality-of-service provision, appropriate case documentation, and participant satisfaction
Provide individual and/or group psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention to youth and families.
Conduct and oversee clinical assessments, bio-psycho-social intakes, and develop and review individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with families, schools, and other stakeholders to support youth in achieving treatment goals
Conduct individual supervision meetings as needed and facilitate regular team meetings
Provide support and coaching to staff in sustaining positive relationships with youth, de-escalation, and problem-solving
Ensure the implementation of trauma-informed and culturally responsive interventions
Ensure timely documentation, service plans, clinical documents, and all other required forms
Evaluate outcomes based on program performance indicators
Collaborate with administration on budget creation and monitoring
Participate in all mandatory meetings held by County partners and The Difference Principle
Competencies and Skills :
Leadership skills and ability to coach and train staff, build and maintain morale amongst team members, promote strong teamwork, and develop positive working relationships
Demonstrated ability to lead by example and support staff to provide an inclusive environment for individuals from all economic, ethnic, racial, and LGBTQIA+ identities
Experience assessing and providing services to individuals with mental health and substance use and knowledge of treatment resources
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level of skill in organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to coach staff in strengths-based, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and harm-reduction approaches
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Qualifications:
Minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
State of Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing services to individuals with significant mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring needs
Knowledge of applicable social service and community service providers in Sawyer County, preferred
Excellent assessment skills & oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel), web-enabled databases, and computer file systems
Pre-employment background check
