The SEMI Foundation is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Director – Workforce and Education Alliance with excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. This role involves working with Foundation leadership to conceive, organize, promote, and implement a national alliance for semiconductor workforce and education efforts. Responsibilities include: Building and strengthening relationships with industry, academic networks, and workforce partners. Overseeing the creation of a digital portal for educational assets. Supporting industry image, awareness strategies, and regional workforce development efforts. Managing a portfolio of regional consortia involved in workforce development and education programs. Collaborating with external stakeholders such as employers, unions, educational institutions, and government agencies. Leading strategic initiatives, incubating pilot programs, and building organizational capacity. Qualifications include: Extensive experience in workforce development, including managing industry-led programs with multiple partners. Deep understanding of the U.S. educational landscape at all levels. Proven experience in strategic planning, program management, and large-scale national initiatives. Knowledge of federal and state workforce systems and budget management skills. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred qualifications: BS/BA degree or relevant experience, 5-8+ years in workforce development management, experience with proposal writing, and familiarity with the microelectronics/semiconductor industry. Compensation: CA, WA, D.C., NY, MD, VA, NJ: $162,000 – $202,600/year; other states: $137,800 – $172,200/year. Exact salary varies based on skills, experience, and location. This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director, SEMI Foundation, managing a team of national positions. Travel approximately 20% is required.
