Description
The Program Director, in partnership with program leadership, will lead the West Accelerator Program in collaboration with the West Health Foundation and Mass General Brigham (MGB) Health System. The West Accelerator Program will expand the Superior Treatment of sEniors Pathway (STEP) from the Center for Geriatric Surgery (CGS) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to nine hospitals and package the learnings into a scalable national model. The role involves strategic and hands-on leadership, protocol development, and comprehensive management of program operations, financial resources, and human resources. This exciting opportunity is ideal of an individual who thrives in highly complex, fast paced, collaborative environment. Working across hospital and system-level administrative teams, such as research, digital health, quality improvement, development, strategic communications, as well as clinical and administrative leaders from nursing, orthopedics, surgery, neurosurgery, geriatrics, palliative care and internal medicine. The Director will be responsible for gathering relevant information from all parties to design, implement, and study STEP at scale across MGB. The Director will also contribute significantly to research and education within the Center for Geriatric Surgery.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Operations and Fiscal Management
· Manage daily operations of the West Accelerator Program.
· Serve as the liaison between MGB West Accelerator, the West Foundation, and consultants.
· Collaborate with digital health and finance teams to resolve challenges.
· Manage program timeline, budget, and resources to ensure successful implementation and integration.
Leadership and Collaboration
· Act as the administrative lead, fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
· Lead and mentor the program team, supporting their professional growth.
· Build strong relationships across the MGB network.
· Facilitate communication and collaboration between all stakeholders, including internal and external consultants.
Project Management and Program Implementation
· Work with clinical leads to design the program, ensuring alignment with the program goals.
· Lead the development and implementation of educational and research initiatives.
· Oversee the creation of electronic dashboards and enhancements to electronic health records (EHR).
· Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring milestones are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget
· Plan and organize all internal and external meetings: sending invitations and reminders, scheduling conference rooms, preparing slides, recording minutes and action items, and providing additional follow up as needed.
Communications
· Collaborate with the Communications Specialist to ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.
· Oversee the development of internal and external communication materials, including websites, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Supervisory Responsibility
· Directly manage a team of 7 FTEs, including project managers, research assistants, and communications specialist.
