Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: As the Program Director, you will be responsible for: * Recruiting, orienting, and supervising faculty members for the department. * Conducting regular observations and evaluations of faculty to ensure excellence in teaching. * Supporting faculty in their professional development. * Assuring correct scheduling and registration of returning students. * Participating in the budgeting process to meet program needs. * Reviewing student progress and eligibility for graduation. * Collaborating on curriculum development and updates. * Organizing advisory committee meetings. * Participating in accreditation self-studies. * Maintaining department equipment and coordination with externship placements. * Advising students on their academic journey. * Other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean. Qualifications
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have: * Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required. * Education: Associate degree in Surgical Technology. * Experience: o Minimum 5 years experience in scrub role; AND o Minimum of 3 years in the last 5 years as a practicing surgical technologist OR instructor in surgical technology. * Teaching: Previous teaching experience is preferred. * Management: Management experience is required. * Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
