Job Summary
The Program Director of Dining and Contract Services of is responsible for the development, administration and logistics for Dining Services and assist with the oversight of College Park District. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work directly with University Dining Services to quickly resolve complaints, develop and implement a secret shopper program for monitoring dining operations, attend various catered events to ensure customer satisfaction, and serve as primary point of contact for Food Service Committee.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of food trends and innovations in the food industry, research and develop new concepts for progressive food options in all outlets, and work with all contractors to implement a progressive marketing campaign.
Monitor University Dining and College Park District contracts to ensure adherence to milestones and contractual obligations.
Oversee and manage budget for dining services to include oversight of purchasing and income driving opportunities.
Develop and maintain statistical tools to measure the performance of retail areas within University Dining operation to ensure performance levels and proper use of University resources.
Oversee the purchasing and develop policies to ensure the safeguarding of University assets within University Dining.
Recruit and oversee a robust approved caterers listing for the University community to utilize.
Serve as primary back-up to the Director in the areas of University Dining Services and College Park District and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field.
Three (3) years of professional experience overseeing dining operations on a college campus and/or commercial real estate experience or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field.
Five (5) or more years of professional experience overseeing dining operations on a college campus and/or commercial real estate experience.
Experience supervising full time and/or student staff. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Exceptional customer service skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
