Experience with mental health and homeless or residential services preferred. Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, Public Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in domestic violence, social services, or nonprofit program management. Proven experience in supervision, program development, budget management, and grant writing or fundraising. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a crisis-driven environment. Must maintain a valid California driver’s license, insurance and driving record which complies with agency’s insurance carrier standards. Must pass all applicable health, fingerprint/LiveScan and DMV clearances. JOB PURPOSE: The Program Director (PD) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic oversight, and administrative management of Child & Family Center’s Domestic Violence Outreach and Shelter Programs. This individual sets the vision for program direction, aligns department goals with the agency’s mission and values, and ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, client-centered services for survivors of domestic violence and their children/families. The PD is expected to lead a dynamic and responsive team, ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations, and represent the agency in community and professional settings. In addition to overseeing daily operations and service delivery, the Program Director plays a key role in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities to sustain and expand programming. This position requires a collaborative, innovative, and driven leader with a deep understanding of domestic violence issues and a strong commitment to empowering survivors and supporting their healing journey. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Provide strategic and operational leadership of all Domestic Violence Outreach and Shelter Programs per the agency's mission, best practices, and applicable regulations. 2. Oversee the implementation of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered services that support survivors' safety, well-being, and empowerment. 3. Identify and pursue funding opportunities—including grants and contracts from government agencies, foundations, and corporate partners—to strengthen, sustain, and grow the program. 4. Ensure all services comply with federal, state, and local laws and contractual and ethical standards. 5. Lead, supervise, and support program staff, including recruitment, training, development, performance evaluations, and accountability to agency policies and procedures. 6. Develop, implement, and monitor program budgets in collaboration with the finance team; ensure sound fiscal management of all resources. 7. Oversee the timely and accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of data and metrics required by funders and for internal program evaluation. 8. Collaborate across departments and with community partners to improve service coordination, enhance outreach efforts, and strengthen the impact of domestic violence prevention and intervention strategies. 9. Coordinate and lead programmatic activities and events, including community outreach, education, and awareness initiatives. 10. Maintain a strong and visible presence in the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys, serving as a public ambassador of the program and agency. 11. Represent the agency in external meetings, coalitions, public forums, and stakeholder engagements. 12. Provide on-call backup coverage for crises and ensure emergency preparedness within the program. 13. Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing and Community Outreach to support the annual Domestic Violence fundraising event, ensuring active participation and engagement of Domestic Violence Program staff to promote program visibility and contribute to the event’s success. Ensure all staff receive ongoing and relevant training in trauma-informed care, domestic violence, cultural competency, and safety protocols. 14. Conduct ongoing program assessment to identify service gaps, emerging needs, and opportunities for innovation. 15. Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records per agency standards. 16. Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and effectiveness of the agency and Program. WORK SCHEDULE: FLSA Status: Exempt – Full Time Work-Week: Sunday – Saturday Actual work schedule as agreed with Direct Supervisor and based on business/program needs. Work Schedule subject to change based on Center’s needs. Must work onsite at least two days per week, up to five days per week. Must be available to attend Center and Community meetings in-person. SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: Directly supervises the Program Manager I – Domestic Violence.
