Are you ready to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families?
We're looking for a passionate, proactive, and people-centered Assistant Director to help shape the culture and success of Kdo River North . As part of our leadership team, you'll bring positivity, strong communication, and a solutions-first mindset to everything you do.
What You'll Do:
Support and coach teachers through training, feedback, and mentorship Create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring learning environment Build strong, authentic relationships with families, staff, and children Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure licensing compliance Support enrollment growth through local marketing and community engagement Tackle challenges with a proactive, collaborative approach Manage staff scheduling ensuring clear communication of daily / weekly plans Required Skills & Experience: Must meet Illinois Director Qualification requirements Bilingual in Spanish and English (ability to read, write, and speak) preferred CDA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or a related field 4+ years of experience in licensed early childhood settings At least 1 year of leadership experience in a preschool or childcare setting preferred Strong understanding of DCFS licensing and compliance in Illinois This is a unique opportunity to be part of something new, exciting, and deeply meaningful.
